Russian media, particularly RT, cover the US withdrawal from Germany as validation of Moscow's geopolitical reading: NATO's internal contradictions are deepening, and Western bloc cohesion is fragile. The cancellation of long-range Tomahawk missile deployment to Germany — missiles capable of reaching Russian territory — is welcomed in Moscow as a concrete reduction in Western military pressure. Although the Kremlin made no immediate official statement, Russian observers see it as the fruit of Trump's policy, which they perceive as less hostile to Moscow than his predecessors.

Russia also monitors the implications for Ukraine: US-EUCOM, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, coordinates much of the Western military support for Kyiv. Any reduction of US presence in Germany could indirectly affect aid flows to Ukraine, though American officials have so far minimized this impact.
