BIASES AND FRAMING IDENTIFIED

Security-emotional framing: Philippine coverage anchors the debate in the Tacloban shooting, prioritizing immediate reactive response over methodical evidence evaluation.

Preference for legislative restriction: voices favoring restrictions dominate the narrative, while proponents of parental oversight or educational approaches receive minimal coverage.

Limited coverage of implementation challenges: technical questions (age verification reliability, migration to alternative platforms) are largely absent from local reporting.
