WHERE THIS COUNTRY STANDS

CAF Loyal, FIFA Forward Funding

Uganda and South Africa link the CAF's continued support for Infantino to the dependence of African federations on the FIFA Forward funding program, rather than a strictly political choice.

BIASES AND FRAMING IDENTIFIED

Uganda's perspective on the FIFA issue is centered around financing, with African support for Infantino attributed to dependence on the FIFA Forward program rather than an autonomous political choice by the federations.

Uganda's government and media outlets tend to prioritize institutional voices, citing the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and national federations like Morocco and Egypt, while African players and fans remain largely absent from the narrative.

The Ugandan press provides limited coverage of the South American stance, barely mentioning the Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (CONMEBOL), another non-signatory to the letter, in their articles.
