BIASES AND FRAMING IDENTIFIED

Canada's framing of the European crisis draws parallels with its own wildfire season, potentially overshadowing the unique aspects of the French and Spanish disasters.

Canadian media shows a preference for domestic sources: specific details about France and Spain are largely based on a single Globe and Mail article, while the majority of coverage focuses on British Columbia and Ontario.

The European Union's political response receives limited coverage, with little attention given to EU budgetary or institutional measures, and a greater emphasis on evacuations and property damage.
