Indian media (Times of India, The Hindu, Indian Express) almost totally ignored Pakistan's role. Times of India published a single 180-word wire piece on the talks collapse, without mentioning Munir. The Hindu covered the UAE OPEC exit with a focus on Indian gasoline prices, without mentioning the Pakistan-Qatar-UAE triangle. Indian Express devoted 240 words to the topic across the entire week.

The silence reflects a post-Mumbai 2008 reading grid: Islamabad is presented as a state whose real power is shared between civilians and the security apparatus -- which justifies covering Pakistan only through the terror angle, never as a credible diplomatic actor.

This filter creates a strategic blind spot. New Delhi maintains operational relations with Tehran (Chabahar port since 2018) and Washington (Quad, defense agreements). India could structurally participate in mediation -- but the media blind spot prevents the formulation of public debate. If the Pakistan-Qatar-UAE hub absorbs Middle East mediation over the next 3-6 months, India will be left marginalized by default.
