BIASES AND FRAMING IDENTIFIED

The focus is on Belgian nationals, with strong attention given to the testimonies of Belgian vacationers caught in the fires, at the expense of a structural analysis of the French rescue efforts

Preference is given to local Francophone and Flemish sources (DH, La Libre, VRT), with few Spanish or French voices directly quoted outside of agency dispatches

There is limited coverage of Belgian political responses, with a link established to the national drought, but concrete measures such as water restrictions and heatwave plans remain largely unelaborated
