I progressi sembreranno comunque rapidi e dovremo fare un uso saggio del tempo che guadagneremo" — we must slow down the pace at which we improve model capabilities, he warns, specifying that progress will nonetheless continue to seem rapid.
What strikes the editorial staff of La Repubblica is the tone used: the daily newspaper mentions a "drammatico appello, evocando rischi per l'umanità", a dramatic appeal evoking risks for humanity, published just a few days after the resignation of Jacob Coxon, a researcher who went from OpenAI to Anthropic, who left the sector accusing the two companies.
ANSA details the concrete mechanism proposed: a three-part framework, with independent evaluators having permanent access comparable to that of employees.
