BIASES AND FRAMING IDENTIFIED

Human-centered framing focuses on Canadian headlines that lead with the death toll without stabilizing it before the body of the text.

Preference is given to official Indonesian sources (provincial governor, BNPB, USGS) over independent humanitarian or scientific voices.

Low coverage of the transpacific alert chain (Chile, Peru, Ecuador) is evident, as it is absent from the consulted Canadian articles.
