BIASES AND FRAMING IDENTIFIED

The South Korean narrative systematically links the rescue of two Nepalese workers to the fate of missing South Korean nationals at a nearby construction site.

« Trishuli 3A is located downstream along the Trishuli River from the Upper Trishuli-1 hydropower plant, where nine missing South Koreans were working, with the two plants about six kilometers apart. »

Relying on the agency dispatch: several Korean outlets reproduce almost verbatim the same agency account without distinct local reporting.

« Rescuers in Nepal pulled two workers alive from the Trishuli 3A hydropower tunnel in Kathmandu on Friday, nine days after floods likely caused by a glacier collapse swept through the area. »
