BIASES AND FRAMING IDENTIFIED

Dominant Catholic framing : mainstream Spanish press devoted most coverage to popular fervor and the parliamentary address, relegating victims' critiques to secondary boxes.

Left-right political capture : political parties sought to appropriate fragments of the papal address according to their own agenda, making independent analysis difficult.

Limited economic coverage : the financial and logistical impact of the visit is near-absent despite significant security costs.
