But the subheading adds a detail others omit: "As troops push towards the Litani River, mourners gather for the funeral of three slain journalists killed in the line of duty." Military expansion and journalists' funerals in the same sentence. Al Jazeera refuses to silo what other media treat separately.

Netanyahu is quoted in a video statement: "I have just instructed to further expand the existing security buffer zone. We are determined to fundamentally change the situation in the north." Al Jazeera notes that the stated objective is to "replicate the Gaza model of occupation"—a parallel that transforms Lebanon into a second Gaza. The "Gaza model" is the heaviest term in the panel: it implies systematic destruction of civilian infrastructure and mass displacement.

Al Jazeera alone links expansion to the Gaza model. Others speak of "buffer zone" or "security strip"—Al Jazeera says "occupation." Vocabulary is the battlefield.
