Seven killed in a Kenya helicopter crash, including Ecuador's intelligence chief
A tourist helicopter crashed on 19 August 2026 near Mount Ololokwe, north of Nairobi. All seven on board died: Michele Sensi-Contugi, head of Ecuador's intelligence service, his wife, five Americans and the pilot. Eight countries cover the sequence, and each retains a different victim from the same crash — Quito the loss of its security apparatus, Washington its five dead, Nairobi the safety of its air tourism.
